Membership based website
Membership software with future multiple levels of membership (paid subscription and membership subscription).
Authorization Module:
- Checks any from the signup form.
- Validates the e-mail address (It sends an e-mail to the user asking him to click on a link in order to validate his membership. The membership won't be validated if he doesn't).
- Automatic password recovery system.
- Automatic account canceling system.
- It stores all users info into a mysql table.
2. Autoresponder Module.
Webform generated upon enrolment to site so as to process autoresponder.
Details of all members that register is recorded into a database for future analysis & marketing.
3. Administration Module.
Including administration of all section.
Administration tool enter various data when required and have the site instantly updated at the click of a button.
The data would is placed into the appropriate directory and retrieved & displayed when called upon by a page request.
The information entered through the admin tool is described in detail in the document titled Expertform admin tool.
Automated procedure for the form (todays) deleted from the site/directory at the end of each day.
4. Conversion.
Conversion of database to a web based format - MySQL. This form the database for individual horse search queries etc.
5. DBF - mySQL converter, with site autouploading.
Developed a system for automatic daily updating of the web based database.
Updates are received from the supplier daily in a format for the foxpro database (comma delimited)
and their software appends the data into their database. To take the update and have that update the web based database.
6. Query/Result Module.
Developed the querying interface for data to be retrieved from the web based database for several types of queries. (individual horse search, results, track conditions, distance range, track record, first up record, 2nd up record).
7. Fetch Parse Publish Module.
- Upload pages.
- Rearrange pages.
- Parsing data.
- Forming xhtml from uploaded pages.
Developed a scripting process for producing web pages (race form) from a series of linked xhtml pages for a race meeting.
These source pages are initially downloaded then unzipped. Uploaded daily to a directory and the script rearrange the data
so the pages are displayed in the required format which is different to how it is initially received.
Horses displayed at the top of each race - a hyperlink to the database querying for that particular horse if clicked upon.
8. Pages: scratchings, results, track reports.
For pages (scratchings, results, track reports) they are displayed as pages within the framed menu of original site.
9. Content Management System (CMS).
It was built into the site with the ability to add new sections and specify what level of access (paid membership) members are able to access that section.
The site contain approximately 20 pages, all with the same look and same navigation menu. Each page source their information from pre-determined directories.
Using CMS, the number of pages can be unlimited. The actual web pages are fluid and take up all the viewers browser so as to display all information clearly.
Several pages on the site have a print feature. Printer friendly format - so that the user can save it first on his HDD and then print it. Generate page for print module.
10. Home/index page - contains:
- Individual Horse Search at top of page, sourced from database. Query/Result Module.
- Lead news story sourced from admin tool. News Frontend.
- Other stories headlines from admin tool. Admin message box.
11. Scratchings.
- Sportingbet website page within the frame of expertform.
- Scrape TAB website.
12. Gear changes- admin tool.

- XHTML files that are then converted using script for a slightly different appearance, (Today & tomorrow on same page underneath each other or drop down menu to select today or tomorrow).
- Initial XHTML pages uploaded to directory from admin pages after being saved on to disk.
