Veronica Endo has worked as translator, foreign language teacher, tourist guide, choreographer and journalist. Born in Peru, she danced classical ballet in Lima and Santiago de Chile, and then got an invitation to study at the Hungarian National Dance Academy where she graduated. This led to stints with classical ballet companies in the National Theatre of Pecs in southern Hungary and then the Hungarian State Opera House in Budapest. Inflicted with a bout of "Latin nostalgia" and an interest in modern dance, she returned to Santiago as a member of the National Ballet of Chile. She presently lives in France and is involved in contemporary dance research at the University of Paris.
